JDRF welcomes effort to expand Disability Tax Credit eligibility for Canadians with diabetes
The Shoes for the Homeless Campaigns in Halifax and Dartmouth have ended in a resounding success.
Our goal was 1500 pairs of shoes and we have collect nearly 2000! We`ve ended the campaign as of yesterday folks, as we have more than enough footwear for now and the logistics of collecting, storing and distributing the donations is at its limit. Plus there’s a new campaign about to kick in. I was told that there are approximately 1600 to 1800 homeless people in the Halifax / Dartmouth area. We collected enough proper footwear and socks for all of them.
The campaign will continue in Fredericton and will soon start up in other areas of the country. Thank you everyone. Please share.
